Meteorological: We have a weather station that not only provides synoptic recordings, but a range of sensors for recording the UV and solar irradiance. We use a clear sky recorder to provide the opportunities when the sky is clear to enable telescope observations to take place. We also use a DIMM instrument to measure sky transparency. This has been continuously used for previous outer Solar System surveys. It provides an accurate true determination of limiting magnitude for precision photometry.
