Projects
There are a range of projects from designing and developing instrumentation to applications in observational research.
Developments in instrumentation were the following in recent years:
- Wide field spectrographs for wide field imaging of comets.
- High speed dual band photometer for occultations.
- Adaptive optics
- Infrared optical system
- Schmidt camera
- Robotic telescopes
- Real time 3D imaging of downloaded telescope images
- QSC system for SETI (SETI Kingsland)
Present developments that are work in progress in instrumentation:
- Wide field spectrographs for wide field imaging of comets.
- A Moon scatter reducing filter.(increases telescope time)
- Upgrading telescopes for relocating to Spain
- Upgrading telescopes to robotic status
- Developing new telescopes to expand a wide range of applications
- Development of a QSC systems for SETI (SETI Kingsland)
Present observational projects are the following:
- Photometry of minor planets
- Search for Planet X
- Search for Extraterestrial Intelligence (SETI Kingsland)
