Projects

There are a range of projects from designing and developing instrumentation to applications in observational research.

Developments in instrumentation were the following in recent years:

  1. Wide field spectrographs for wide field imaging of comets.
  2. High speed dual band photometer for occultations.
  3. Adaptive optics
  4. Infrared optical system
  5. Schmidt camera
  6. Robotic telescopes
  7. Real time 3D imaging of downloaded telescope images
  8. QSC system for SETI (SETI Kingsland)

Present developments that are work in progress in instrumentation:

  1. Wide field spectrographs for wide field imaging of comets.
  2. A Moon scatter reducing filter.(increases telescope time)
  3. Upgrading telescopes for relocating to Spain
  4. Upgrading telescopes to robotic status
  5. Developing new telescopes to expand a wide range of applications
  6. Development of a QSC systems for SETI (SETI Kingsland)

Present observational projects are the following:

  1. Photometry of minor planets
  2. Search for Planet X
  3. Search for Extraterestrial Intelligence (SETI Kingsland)
